Kojo Talr – Obaa Hemaa (Prod By Midstrike x Mixed By Possi Gee)
Young Afro-beats sensation, Kojo Talr, has released his highly-anticipated debut single, “Obaa Hemaa”, to the delight of the many patiently waiting fans.
Kojo Talr, born Bernard Oppong, is an Afro-pop singer. Kojo is the younger brother of the British musician of Ghanaian descent, Fuse ODG, who is best known for his 2013 hit single “Antenna” and “Azonto”. Needless to say that he comes from a family that has a strong interest and passion for music.
Kojo with his siblings were integral members of their church choir, where they always took lead roles in ministrations. As a young man who is very passionate about music and the desire to nurture his talent, he has been understudying his big brother Fuse ODG even before he (Fuse ODG) made it to mainstream music. As a young talented fashion designer, he designs his big brother’s (Fuse ODG) outfits.
He’s done several tracks with other high-profile musicians in the game which would be released later in the year. This talented musician sings about love, and is also very inspirational with his lyrics and music.
“Obaa Hemaa” is a Twi word which is literally translated as “Queen”, and is used in this context as a pet-name for a woman of his heart. The title with its accompanying deep and romantic lyrics will strongly resonate with all lovers even including both the young and old, and can bring or rekindle that untold joy needed to nourish relationships and marriages.
The song climaxes by featuring a beautifully arranged counter melody by a sax along with the vocal melody which provokes goose bumps on the body of the listener.
The song was produced by Mr. Midstrike and was mixed by Possi Gee. Certainly, we will have more to report on this Kojo Talr’s debut single as it is set to make strong waves in the industry.
